Misal Pav instructions
- Soak matki overnight and remove it from water and place it in warm place. use it after 4 hours when you can see light sprouts..
- First take onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and make fine paste of it..
- Heat oil and fry above paste in it till it become brown. Add red chilli powder, turmeric and garam masala. And mix it. Now add sprouted matki. And saute it for few minutes..
- Later add 2 cup of hot water and add salt. Put lid on. Boil it for 4-5 minutes. It may be thin but dont worry..
Misal is garnished with mix farsan (mix chiwda) on the top and also some topped with onion and tomatoes. Misal is made of various kinds and it differs from place to place. Misal Pav is a traditional Maharashtrian dish. Here dry sabzi is made from sprouted moth beans. That is topped with spicy gravy, fresh onion, tomato and farsan.
