She is French so I believe this is a French Meat Pie. Beef, pork, and potato are all nicely spiced and baked into a pie. It's yummy and pretty easy to make too! You can have Meat pie using 14 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Meat pie
- Prepare 2 cups of flour.
- Prepare 1 tsp of baking powder.
- You need 5 tbsp of butter.
- You need Pinch of salt.
- Prepare of Water as required.
- You need of Irish potatoes.
- You need of Minced meat.
- It's of Carrot.
- Prepare of Onion.
- You need of Scotch bonnet.
- It's cubes of Seasoning.
- Prepare of Spices.

Meat pie instructions
- In a bowl sift flour, add salt, baking powder butter and mix together.
- Add water mix together and knead for like 15 to form a dough. Cover n allow to rest.
- Cut potatoes, onion and carrot into cubes and set aside.
- On a medium heat, add little oil to a pan, add onion minced meat, seasoning and spices and stir fry. Add scotch bonnet, potatoes and little water. Cover and allow to cook for 10min add the carrot and corn flour mix,cover to simmer. Off the heat and allow to cool completely before filling.

I have saved this recipe and will continue the old tradition of meat pies for Thanksgiving and New Years Eve. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, then add remaining ingredients mixing well. Allow flavors to blend for a few minutes, then remove from heat. On a floured surface roll out one of the dough balls to fit into a sprayed pie dish. Pour the meat filling inside the dough.
