It's a lot of ingredients and soup tossed together with a pie crust on top like a pot-pie. My family makes 'Meat Pie" and it's like a Welsh pasti. A great deep dish meat pie made with potatoes, carrots and peas in a rich gravy. Lamb chicken or pork can be used in place of beef.
Easy Meat Pie instructions
- Prepare filling and allow to cool.
- Mix flour, butter, sugar, salt, and baking powder to form crumbs. Add egg beaten in water.
- Knead gently and chill for 20 mins.
- Afterwards, take out dough. Roll out. Place on a meatpie cutter, brush sides with egg wash and fill with fillings. Seal. Brush top with egg wash. Repeat until done. Chill for 10mins. And bake for 15 to 20 mins.
