Chirashi-zushi. Chirashi Sushi is served on happy occasions and at parties in Japan. Today's dish Chirashi Sushi (ちらし寿司) might sound familiar to you, but maybe not so much after. This video will show you how to make Chirashi Sushi (Chirashizushi), a kind of sushi dish with thinly sliced Sashimi raw fish placed over a bed of sushi.
This is an instant sushi package and is very easy to. Chirashi Sushi, or "Scattered Sushi", came on the horizon along with Maki Sushi And in general it is like a sushi salad. The ingredients (or "gu") are scattered or topped on. You can have Chirashi-zushi using 4 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you achieve that.
Ingredients of Chirashi-zushi

Scattered Sushi (Chirashi Sushi) is often made for special occasions such as Doll Festival and birthdays. This beautifully arranged sushi is the easiest of all the sushi dishes. Traditionally sushi rice is used, and chirashi rice contains more rice vinegar than is used in sushi maki rolls and nigiri. The rice needs to be made ahead and cooled before using.
Chirashi-zushi instructions
- Cook Sushi Rice. Plain Sushi Rice is good enough, but you may wish to add some vegetables to it just like Rice Salad..
- Place the rice on a plate and decorate it with your favourite toppings..
- Topping Suggestions (1) Egg - Shredded Thin Omelet, Scrambled Egg.
- (2) Vegetables - Cucumber, Avocado, Carrot, Snow Peas, Asparagus (*some vegetables need to be cooked in salted water).
- (3) Shiitake Mushrooms cooked in Sweet Soy Broth (*Sugar 1 : Soy Sauce 2).
- (4) Protein - Prawns, Smoked Salmon, Sashimi, Unagi (Eel) Kabayaki, Grilled Fish, Marinated Fresh Seafood, Chicken Teriyaki.
- (5) Shredded Nori, Roasted Sesame Seeds.
